Shortage in Philippine Cement Market due to construction inc

Cement shortage occurs in Philippines Iloilo Province, most reason is the underway construction and real estate projects in this region. Cement demand is beyond local cement suppliers’ expectation; they have to restrict the amount of each order to 10 bags.
Main projects in Iloilo province includes the conference center, costing nearly 1 billion pesos and a serial infrastructure programs aiming to improving local transportation. Besides, local authority also launched commercial and real estate construction projects.
Though supply shortage occurs, cement price stays stable in general over the past several weeks; only the price of ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) has risen as it is the common cement used in construction.
